About Our Fire District

Yucca Fire District operates from 1 station providing services to 124 Sq Miles within the Fire District. Station 1 is located in Yucca at 12349 Frontage Road. This location also houses the Fire District Administrative Annex.

We also serve adjacent subdivisions outside the district: Santa Fe Ranch 200 Sq miles and have done agency assists out to Alamo Lake 55 miles away. Golden Valley Ranches

South 25 Sq miles and Pioneer Valley and Paradise Trails 2 sq miles. There is also BLM and State Lands within this area, and we service Unit 9 of State Land

Division which extends to MP 37 of the I-40 an additional 10 miles north.

The District has approximately 275 citizens with an additional 300 outside the district. We run between 160 and 185 incident calls per year with about 45 public assist or non emergency calls. We do fire protection and educational classes for the school age children annually. Because of the large amount of brush trimmings accumulated by local residents and no pickup service available we burn the piles as training exercises several times a year. Yucca’s mean average age tends toward the senior citizens as work availability and services are very limited.
